Bone regeneration, implantology, periodontal surgery, and the relationship between periodontal disease and systemic health.

Prof Mohangi is widely recognised as a leader in his field, with an extensive track record in teaching, research, and clinical innovation. His published work covers topics including bone regeneration, implantology, periodontal plastic surgery, and the systemic implications of periodontal disease.

Beyond his academic achievements, Prof Mohangi is a skilled and compassionate clinician, known for his precision, insight, and patient-centred care.

At Mohangi Dental & Periodontics, Prof Mohangi provides specialist evaluation and advanced therapies in periodontology, implantology, and oral medicine. He continues to mentor postgraduate trainees, lead research initiatives, and contribute to ongoing professional education in the field.

Dr Tashta Mohangi
Dentist

Dr Tash brings over 13 years of experience across the fields of periodontology, oral medicine, general and oral pathology, and dental implantology.

She holds a Bachelor of Dentistry (BChD) from the University of Pretoria, and a Master of Science in Periodontology and Oral Medicine (MScDent) from the University of the Witwatersrand. She also holds a Certificate in Implantology from the European Association for Osseointegration (EAO) and has completed the Neodent Guided Implant Surgery Course in Brazil.

In addition to her clinical expertise, Dr Tash has lectured both undergraduate and postgraduate students at the University of the Witwatersrand and the University of the Western Cape. She previously served as a medical officer at Lancet Laboratories and has completed a postgraduate module in Pathology through Stellenbosch University.

Dr Tash has a special interest in exploring the connection between periodontitis and mental health, an area that reflects her holistic approach to patient care.

At Mohangi Dental & Periodontics, Dr Tash provides a full range of general dental services, with a particular focus on the non-surgical management of periodontitis and implant rehabilitation. She is also actively involved in in-house education, public awareness initiatives, and the promotion of evidence-based dental practice.
